Early childhood development will affect the next period, namely the achievement of maturity in
social relationships. Market day activities are buying and selling activities which are the
embodiment of humans as social beings. This study aims to explain market day activities in TK
IT Al-Hikmah, explain the conditions of children's social development in TK-IT Al-Hikmah,
and explain the implementation of market day activities in improving the social development of
children aged 5-6 years in TK-IT Al. - Wisdom. This type of research uses descriptive
qualitative methods. The results showed: market day activities at TK-IT Al-Hikmah in the form
of buying and selling activities carried out by students directly by selling various kinds of food
to friends, teachers and other parties such as student guardians. The conditions of social
development that grow in TK-IT Al-Hikmah students are seen through socializing and
communication attitudes, working together, being patient, being responsible, caring and
respecting others. And in its implementation, market day activities at TK-IT Al-Hikmah in
improving social development are carried out using the applied habituation method. With the
principle of playing while learning, hands-on experience and PAKEM learning.
