Implementation of Toilet Training to Stimulate Children's Independence at KB Syaamila Kids Salatiga in the 2024/2025 Academic Year

This study aims to find out the implementation of toilet training to stimulate children's independence at KB Syaamila Kids Salatiga, to find out the form of children's independence stimulated by the implementation of toilet training at KB Syaamila Kids Salatiga, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of the implementation of toilet training. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of toilet training is carried out through three stages, namely introduction, direct application and habituation. Forms of independence in the implementation of toilet training include independence in managing personal needs, independence in self-care, and social independence. Supporting factors include cooperation between teachers and parents, consistent habituation, and the type of toilet used. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include poorly maintained toilets, open access to toilets, and internal factors including children who are still embarrassed to express their needs, children are not yet able to follow instructions independently, and differences in children's characters and abilities.
