Exploration of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Curriculum Policy in the Early Childhood Islamic Education Study Program

The MBKM policy empowers students to master knowledge in their field of expertise through student-centered exploration and promotes the freedom to learn through the right to study outside the study program. The aim of this research is to describe the development of the MBKM curriculum in the PIAUD study program. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review as the primary method. The subjects of this research are the PIAUD study programs at UINSI, IAIN Kudus, and UIN SATU. Data collection techniques involve literature study, and data analysis techniques employ data reduction and data identification. Descriptive techniques are utilized to unravel the research methodology. The results of the study reveal that the MBKM curriculum is a designed framework that addresses the challenges of the 21st century by emphasizing the freedom and independence to learn various fields of knowledge. The development of the MBKM curriculum consists of five stages, while its implementation comprises nine key activities.
