Abstract

This study aims to determine the Role of Parents in Developing Children's Social Emotional Skills with the Qur'anic Parenting Method. The development of children's social emotional skills is greatly influenced by the role of parents in educating and guiding them, the results of this study are expected to be an applicable solution in improving the quality of education and parenting of early childhood. In this study, a qualitative approach was used with case study methods and literature reviews. The results of this study are that parents play a very important role in the development of social emotional skills of early childhood, the important role of parents in this case includes acting as educators, as motivators, and as role models. Parents can use Qur'anic parenting in the development of children's social emotional skills, with the principles; role models, religious education, affection, open communication, development of independence, emotional support, and prayer and hope to Allah SWT. With good social emotional development in early childhood, it can increase the capacity of individual children to be better able to adapt to the environment, foster positive interpersonal relationships, achieve academic excellence, and later develop into adults who are well adjusted, and physically and mentally healthy.
