Early childhood growth and development is a critical stage that determine the quality of life in the future. Nutrition plays an important role insupporting this process, as proper nutrition can optimize physical growth, brain development, and organ function. This study aims to examine the role of nutrition on early childhood growth and development by highlighting essential nutrient needs, the impact of malnutrition, and the importance of a balanced diet. The importance of a balanced diet. This study uses qualitative research descriptive research. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with parents, early childhood educators, and health workers who have experience in handling child growth and development as well as documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction data, data presentation, verification and conclusion. The research shows that nutrients such as protein, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals, especially iron, calcium, and omega-3, have a significant contribution in supporting children's physical and cognitive development. Malnutrition during this period can lead to stunting, reduced learning ability, and risk of chronic diseases later in life. In addition, nutrition interventions that involve families, caregivers, and early nutrition education are strategic steps to improve children's nutritional status. By understanding the important role of nutrition, it is hoped that stakeholders can develop educational programs and policies that support the fulfillment of early childhood nutritional needs in a sustainable manner.
