Abstract

Emotions are an important element in the development of personality and social relationships in early childhood. Children learn to recognize, express, and manage emotions through interaction with their environment. Good emotional understanding and regulation helps children build empathy, resilience, and the ability to deal with difficult situations in a healthy way. The purpose of this study is to study in depth the aspects of intelligence and emotional regulation of early childhood in the story "Playing in the City Park" by Watiek Ideo. This research is a literature review (library research) with data sources in the form of children's stories by Watiek Ideo. Data collection is carried out by identification, reading, literature analysis, documentation, digital data search and record-keeping techniques. The data analysis technique is carried out using the Miles Huberman approach, which starts with data reduction, data presentation, as well as ferrivikation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that the aspects of early childhood intelligence and emotional regulation in the children's story "Playing in the City Park" by Watiek Ideo are known that there are six forms of early childhood emotional intelligence shown by Nindi as the main character in the story "Playing in the City Park" by Watiek Ideo, as for the emotions of these emotions, namely: worry,  fear, anxiety, enthusiasm, courage, and happiness. The form of emotional regulation that occurs in Nindi is to change the feeling of worry to happiness, the change of fear to happiness, and the change of fear to courage.
