Mengenali dan Memahami Perkembangan Bahasa Pada Anak Speech Delay

Development and growth in early childhood varies greatly along with the rate of growth and development. Of the various aspects that will increase rapidly at this golden age, one aspect that needs attention from parents is the aspect of language development in children. Language is a way of communicating between people socially. One of the disorders of language development in early childhood is speech delay. Speech delays occur because parents and environmental factors play a major role in the process of language acquisition in children. It is difficult for teachers to quickly change children's language habits. Lack of interaction between parents and children is the most important factor in the phenomenon of speech delays in preschool-aged children. The research method used is the library research method because this research was carried out by collecting data from reading sources such as books, documents, etc. documents and journals. The research stages that have been carried out are starting with searching for and discovering phenomena regarding speech delayed children, the next stage is the process of searching for and understanding theories related to language development in speech delayed children and the learning process in speech delayed children. The results of the research show that language development in children with speech delay occurs due to several factors including internal factors, namely medical conditions in the womb (newborn), having a history of seizures, head trauma and brain inflammation, hearing problems, impaired motor function and oral structure, autism, family history and external factors, namely lack of stimulation, and playing too much with gadgets. Suggestions for dealing with speech delays include regular consultations with a pediatrician to determine the child's development.
