Kegiatan Bermain Bebas untuk Optimalisasi Perkembangan Kognitif Anak Usia Dini di TK Omah Dolanan YWKA Yogyakarta

Abstract this study aims to determine free play activities to optimize cognitive development of early childhood at Omah Dolanan YWKA Yogyakarta Kindergarten, this research is a qualitative research.
Data sources were obtained from students, teachers and educators. Data collection is done by the method of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using qualitative methods, namely the presentation of data in written form and explain what it is according to the data obtained from the results of the study. Checking the validity of the data in this study used the triagulation technique. The results of this study indicate that free play in Omah Dolanan YWKA Yogyakarta can optimize the cognitive development of early childhood consisting of free play in the room (Indoor) and outdoor play (Outdoor). Indoor play activities, namely: first, manipulative play such as playing Zombie, Doctor-Doctor and Lumping Horse. Second, Play Beams like playing Palace Beams, Train Beams. Play Puzzle, play DO-MI-KA-DO, play Word Relay, and play Dakon. As for outdoor play, namely: Playing Sunda Manda, playing catching Grasshoppers and Butterflies. Free Play activities that are found at Omah Dolanan Kindergarten and Play Petak Umpet. The role of teachers or educators in free play activities is: sensitive to children's play activities, observers, interactive and environment. Children's cognitive development from the results of the development evaluation shows that the majority of students in Omah Dolanan YWKA Yogyakarta Kindergarten have entered the growing category as expected. This evaluation comes from the accumulation of daily reports, weekly reports and monthly reports of students
