This study aims to determine the role of Make A Match learning models in improving cognitive abilities of early childhood in the material recognizing the geometric shapes of circles, triangles, rectangles in Raudhatul Athfal Al-Farabi Tanjung Selamat, Sunggal Subdistrict. PTK) from data generated through observation and interviews. This research was conducted in the B-Raudhatul Athfal group Al-Farabi Tanjung Selamat, Sunggal District with 16 students. The results showed that the cognitive development of children in the material knew the geometric shapes increased after the action through the Make A Match learning model. At the time of pre-action observation, the percentage of cognitive development was 43.75%, then experienced an increase in Cycle I of 62.67% and in the implementation of the second cycle there was a very good increase of 81.51%. Steps taken so that children's cognitive development increases: pre-development activities, development activities, and closing activities. Provision of active direction is carried out during development activities and during closing activities
